Interested in becoming a People Development Champion?

We are looking to recruit People Development Champions for every department and Faculty in the University.

If you are interested in development and keen to network with others in the organisation, we’d be delighted for you to join us as a People Development Champion.

So what is a People Development Champion and what do they do?

A People Development Champion is a member of staff who promotes the University’s learning and development provision by encouraging colleagues in their Department/Faculty to participate in development opportunities. You will increase your knowledge about development and have the opportunity to connect with others who share your interest. You will be the first to know about our learning and development opportunities and will also have the opportunity for 1:1 coaching support for your personal development as a People Development Champion.

As a People Development Champion at CCCU you will:

  • Attend champion meetings with the People Development team to find out about updates & news, and feedback any ideas or concerns around individual, team and organisational development.
  • Promote development opportunities within your department/Faculty through either email, posters, newsletters or Microsoft Teams.
  • Actively encourage staff to engage in development opportunities at the University – i.e. adding People Development updates to departmental/Faculty meeting agendas.
  • Develop your knowledge and skills in using the Career and Development tab on StaffSpace in order to support others to use it effectively.
