The World Mental Health Day 2020 Photography Competition is open to all current staff members and students of Canterbury Christ Church University [including sessional, associate and Unitemps]; you can only enter once.
Closing date for entries is midnight Sunday 18th October 2020. Entries received after this time will not be entered in the competition.
Entries must be submitted in digital format. They can be submitted as follows: • Staff entries via email to staff.wellbeing@canterbury.ac.uk or posted on Twitter making sure you tag @CCCU_SD and include the hashtag #CCCUAllOfUs • Student entries posted on Twitter making sure you tag @CCCUStudents and include the hashtag #CCCUAllOfUs or on Instagram making sure you tag @canterburyccuni and using the hashtag #CCCUAllOfUs.
Qualifying entries will be displayed online
The title of your photograph should be “Hope”. There is no obligation or expectation to explain or provide supporting text to the image.
Entry to the competition is free.
There are two categories of entry, staff and students, with one winner in each category. The winners will be chosen by a panel of judges, whose decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to the competition.
The winners will be announced on Friday 23rd October 2020 at 4pm via Twitter and Instagram.
Each winner will receive a £50 CCCU University Bookshop voucher. There is no cash alternative available.
Please do not submit photographs that include children unless you have expressly gained the written permission of their parent or guardian, which will need to be provided to us. Any adults included in photographs will need to provide their own consent.
Your entry must be your own work, must not be copied, must not contain any third-party materials and/or content that you do not have permission to use
In consideration of Canterbury Christ Church University agreeing to consider entrants’ photographs submitted to the competition, each entrant hereby agrees that Canterbury Christ Church University (and third parties authorised by Canterbury Christ Church University) may make any and all entries available in their publications and on their websites and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future. You hereby grant Canterbury Christ Church University (and third parties authorised by Canterbury Christ Church University) a free of charge, non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, make derivative works from, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the entry for marketing and publicity purposes. By entering the competition, you also agree to allow your name to be used by Canterbury Christ Church University for online marketing purposes. You retain the copyright in your image. You will not be entitled to any fees for such use. We will always credit the photographer.
Any images shared are subject to these Terms and Conditions. Images which do not adhere to the competition Terms and Conditions may be disqualified.
The University reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry or entrant which, in the opinion of University, is not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions or who has, in the opinion of University, engaged in conduct in entering the competition which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the University.
Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and to agree to be bound by them when entering this competition.
Canterbury Christ Church University reserves the right to cancel the competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in the University’s opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of the University’s control.
