New film released about service user and carer involvement in trainee placements

The clinical psychology programme team are proud of our pioneering ‘Placement Advising Scheme’ which we run in collaboration with our partner Trusts. For the first year of the programme, each trainee is matched with someone who has used, or supports someone who has used, local mental health services.  The pair meet monthly for six months to discuss both the advisor’s and the trainee’s experience of, and reflections on services.   We have recently made a short (six minute) film introducing the scheme, available here: https://youtu.be/nRKxGGLbNAE. The film was produced and directed by John Richardson of Mind Wick (http://www.thisismindwick.com/ who is a member of SAGE, our service user and carer advisory group.
