New video helps young people experiencing psychosis

Principal Lecturer Anne Cooke from the Salomons Institute for Applied Psychology has collaborated with the British Psychological Society, the charity Star Wards and filmmakers Mind Wick, to make a short video which gives information and hope to young people experiencing psychosis.  Young people who hear voices or hold distressing beliefs (for example about people wanting to harm them) sometimes worry that they are developing a scary illness that will get worse over time. The video explains why the picture is much more hopeful, outlines the issues clearly, and links to sources of help including a leaflet for young people and a longer e-book, ‘Understanding Psychosis.
