New BPS report explains why so many of us are depressed, and how we can build a less depressing society

On 9th October 2020, The British Psychological Society’s Division of Clinical Psychology launched its report Understanding Depression, presenting a psychological view of depression, what can cause it and what can help. The author/editors were Dr Gillian Bowden MBE, Dr Sue Holttum of the Salomons Institute for Applied Psychology at this university, Dr Rashmi Shankar, Anne Cooke of the Salomons Institute, and Professor Peter Kinderman.
