Whitehall Baths in Canterbury was an out door swimming pool on the current site of Toddler’s Cove. it was fed by the River Stour and closed in the 1950s over fears about Polio. This sequence was filmed in 1935 by Sydney Bligh who was a keen amateur filmmaker, who produced a 90 minute newsreel each year between 1934 and 1939. He was an electrical engineer from Canterbury.
