Ashford Station in the 1980s

This was filmed by Alan Stingemore in the late 1980s. Alan was a keen amateur filmmaker who had a particular interest in railways and cinemas.

This is fascinating. Do you know if there is an archive somewhere with Alan Stingemore’s work? I know some people who worked on the railways in Ashford and surrounding areas at the time – I know they would be interested to see more of these.

  I have copied all Alan’s films and hold them as digital copies here at Canterbury Christ Church University. I am gradually uploading them onto my Canterbury Amateur Film Archive webpages. There is no more film of Ashford station by Alan but there are other train films by him and other filmmakers on my webpages.
