The first of the Herne Bay Newsreels produced by John Clague RIBA annually between 1935 and 1970.
John was a keen amateur filmmaker who lived in Herne Bay but worked in Canterbury where he set up Clague Architects.

What wonderful footage. Having moved from Herne Bay to Chicago almost 20 years ago, I often look to see what’s going on in my old hometown, then a friend posted this on Facebook. Wonderful to see places I remember from the 90’s in 30’s footage.
