The Student Green Office (SGO) at Canterbury Christ Church University are happy to announce that they have recruited a publicity officer.
The team hope this new role will spread the word about the sustainability work they’re doing on campus and promote their regular events.
Martyna Nowak, a third year psychology with early childhood studies student, has volunteered for the SGO before.
The final year student said: “I have volunteered for the SGO in the past and enjoyed it a lot, so I’m happy to be on board again!
“I’m especially excited for all the coming events that involve food.”
Martyna hopes that she can encourage students to make small changes in their lifestyle to become more sustainable.
She said: “I’d love to encourage students to take easy steps that will benefit our planet: reducing the weekly amount of meat they eat, cycling instead of taking the bus, or buying second-hand.
“I have a few ideas how to promote them and I can’t wait to put them into action!”
