One of the SGO’s most popular events was chocolate tasting.

Billie Redwood a first year business with psychology student is the SGO’s latest recruit.

She said: “The role combines two passions of mine, social engagement/events and sustainability.

“I have not encountered an opportunity like it before, and I’m confident that my experience and knowledge gained from previous jobs and current studies enable me to make an impact.”

Billie added that as she’s a big foodie you can expect her to bring lots of food incentives to future events. This is something we can’t see many guests complaining about.

She said: “Ultimately, I’d like to impact people who aren’t already interested or involved in sustainability.

“In the warmer months I’d love to do some fun events that are quite chilled out such as a mini beer festival using our own pale ale with live music or a beach themed event with bbq, beer and sustainability based beach games.

“To be fun, chilled out settings to welcome people who don’t necessarily already have interest or awareness of sustainability.

“As a foodie, you can expect me to use a lot of food incentives at my events!”
