What give you hope for the future?
Throughout March the Library and Learning Resources Department will be joining forces with the Academy of Sustainable Futures to promote a vision of Eco-Hope. We will be exploring sustainability, recycling and upcycling, proactive action and a better future for all, through an assortment of Stressless events, plus other activities.
This will include a photo competition that staff and students can enter throughout March. Interested? Then read on.
Eco-Anxiety can be a common problem within today’s society. It can affect people differently, but whether we are young or old, male, female or them, it can have an impact.
To help overcome this, we need to develop Eco-Hope. We need to learn to form a positive mindset, to put into action, whether big or small, changes to how we live and we need to pay attention to the facts, the data and information provided by the global scientists. We need to act as one, we need to show we care!
We can also look for the good things in life, for those things that bring us joy, make us smile and give us hope.
What gives you hope for the future?
- Optimism of younger generations
- New and improved technology
- Faith and belonging
- Renewability and sustainability
- The natural world around us
- Friends and family
To enter, we would like you to share a photo of something that gives you personal hope for the future. You can submit your photo using the form below, any time between the 1st and 31st of March.
Photo’s will be printed out and incorporated into our Eco-Hope display throughout March for all to see. This can be found on the second floor of Augustine House within the Stressless area. Do check it out, let’s share and build on our hope, creating a better future.
