This film of Whitstable yachting was shot on Std 8 film by Jumbo (George) Gisby, a keen amateur filmmaker, who was a taxi driver in Whitstable.
Not a taxi driver (though he did drive them) but owner of our taxi business. I used to have to take orders (as we called them) from a very early age – taught me a lot, particularly telephone manners and accuracy in writing things down!
