The National Student Survey Results are out – and we are one of the best, again!

Following the publication of the results of the 2019-2020 National Student Survey (NSS), we are extremely proud to say that we are one of the best Politics and International Relations programmes in the UK once again!

Our commitment to teaching excellence, outstanding student support, and our endeavour to create a democratic and inclusive learning community has not gone unnoticed by our students even under the extremely challenging circumstances in which we have all found ourselves.

Our Programme enjoys over 94% overall satisfaction in the National Student Survey for a 5th consecutive year for Single and Combined Honours Students, and 100% overall satisfaction for Single Honours Students for a second year running! Our degree has been ranked by first degree students in Politics and IR, as one of the best Politics and IR degrees in the UK in the following NSS categories:

  • 94% Student Satisfaction with the Quality of the Course (Single & Combined Honours)
  • 98% Student Satisfaction with the Quality of Teaching (Single Honours)
  • 94% of Students agree that the Course is Intellectually Stimulating
  • 91% Student Satisfaction with Teaching, Top 15 in the UK
  • 90% of our students are satisfied with learning opportunities: Top 15 in the UK (Single and Combined Honours)
  • Learning Community: 4th in the UK
  • 97% of our students satisfied with Academic Support (Single Honours)
  • Academic Support: 7th in the UK (Single and Combined Honours)
  • Student Voice: Top 15 in the UK
  • Assessment and Feedback: Top 15 in the UK
