Don’t be afraid to leave your feedback! We can handle some scares.
Halloween is creeping around the corner, and with that comes all the iconic yearly celebrations – carving pumpkins, extravagant costumes, and of course, the library’s letter-writing event.
Halloween is the season of embracing creativity. So, as the evenings darken, the cauldrons bubble, and the bats swoop in, it’s time to get those creative thoughts flowing and write a spooky letter to the Library. Whether your feedback is positive or less so, a trick or a treat, we would really love to hear about your experiences.
The event will be held on the ground floor of Augustine House Library on Tuesday 20 October. You can drop by the letter-writing station anytime between 11am – 3pm.
Don’t miss out on the sweet treats provided – It’s Halloween after all!
You are welcome to be as detailed or brief in your feedback as you would like. Whether your letter touches on the library services, facilities, or resources, all feedback is important to us.
Think about how you would like your library to be improved. Don’t feel afraid to be honest.
Can’t make it?
We will have a Post-it note board on display during the following week. It will be opposite the library point desk and ready to receive your quick feedback thoughts. Alternatively, leave us a comment on our feedback form.

Borrow a Read & Relax book, fill out the form, and suggest another title to add to the collection.
The library has listened
Here’s how your previous feedback has inspired recent changes.
Read & Relax Collection
You asked for access to books to support reading for leisure, so we have introduced a Read & Relax collection to the ground floor of Augustine House. The ‘Read & Relax’ collection is, as its name suggests, full of books that are not directly tied to your studies but are meant solely for enjoyment. The likes of which include fiction, such as fantasy, science fiction, romance, award-winning contemporary works, poetry, graphic novels, and more. There is also an array of non-fiction, ranging from well-being to cookbooks to biographies. You can find out more about the Read & Relax collection through our series of blog posts:
Remember our Read & Relax competition still has a few more weeks to run. Any students who borrow from the Read & Relax collection have a chance to win a CCCU hoody voucher and coveted CCCU teddy bear! Borrow a Read & Relax book, fill out the form, and suggest another title to add to the collection.

New Postgraduate Study Zone
This September we were pleased to launch our updated Postgraduate zone at the front of the second floor of Augustine House. The creation of our new Postgraduate zone has been a collective endeavour, building its foundations within the lived experience of our Postgraduate students. Rather than treating your feedback as opinion, we have taken it as expertise. From feedback forms to conversations with library staff to fine-tune the smaller details, your voices have shaped how the space appears, acts, and supports all our Postgraduate students. We’re still looking to make improvements to the area, so please come along to the event with any feedback.
