Not sure what the summer has in store? There are some great opportunities out there…
This is set to be a summer of fun for a whole host of reasons. Lockdown lifts and the sun will shine, and so there’s a lot to look forward to. If you’re thinking about your future though, we get it can be a bit overwhelming. We’ve got some great stuff coming up internally, and that we’ve heard about in other places, which we’d really encourage you to take part in.
Things run by us, as your Careers & Enterprise Hub:
Next week: Launch Your Career week. If you’re a 2020 or 2021 Graduate, make sure you take advantage of the great workshops all free and online for you.
The following week: Launch Into Business week. If you’re a current student or recent graduate, you’re welcome to come to the workshops exploring owning your own business. If you’re a current student, you can also enter the Friday Dragon’s Den to pitch your idea – with real investment available.
Thing’s we’ve heard are great, but aren’t run by us:
Skills Bootcamp: The Institute of Student Employers are delivering a 10-week skills bootcamp to help you kickstart your career. You’ll develop key skills like problem solving, prototyping, presentation & pitching etc., while creating a digital portfolio and receiving a certificate to add to your CV. If you sign up to the whole programme, you also have the chance to win a £100 Amazon voucher!
Virtual Internship with Bright Network: It’s a 3-day immersive programme covering all your need to know about the sector of your choice, run by employers and industry experts. You also get a certificate on completion to add to your CV and LinkedIn!
So… how much can you pack in to this summer to prepare for your future?
