As part of the Futures Initiative project, the Department of Media, Art and Design successfully put in a bid for funding for a bespoke yurt that they could take out into the field (figuratively speaking) to use as a mobile photographic darkroom and camera obscura.

Karen Shepherdson sent us some of the photos they took when constructing the yurt, and she and her team produced a short promotional film to demonstrate what it was all about…
