Research Interests:
My research focuses on the interplay between emotion, morality, and fiction. I have a particular interest in the emotions of anger and disgust, and the role that they play in moral judgment and decision making. My experimental paradigms tend to contrast genuine immoral behaviour with fictional immoral behaviour (i.e., violent video game play) to examine how “make believe” actions can reflect on one’s real life character.
Current Research Projects:
My current research is looking at the role which anger and disgust play in moral judgment and decision making.
Developing Research Areas:
I’m currently working with Evangelos Ntontis (see his staff profile, here) designing experiments investigating anti-abortion rhetoric.
