We wanted to share some news from our colleagues at Drill Hall Library at Medway.  

Drill Hall Library Easter Egg Hunt

From Monday 14th April to Friday 18th April students and staff at the Universities at Medway can enter the Drill Hall Library Easter Egg Hunt.  

Join in the fun! Find 1 of 10 hidden eggs in the library and collect an Easter surprise at reception! Hosted by the Drill Hall Library for staff and students of all the universities at Medway. Happy hunting!

Easter opening hours

There will be a change to the opening hours of Drill Hall Library over the Easter holidays.  

Friday 18th April: 09:00 – Midnight 
Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th April: 09:00 – 21:00 
Monday 21st April: 09:00 – Midnight

Spring opening hours

From Tuesday 21st April the main Drill Hall Library opening hours will remain the same. 

Monday – Friday 08:00 – 00:00 

Saturday – Sunday 09:00 – 21:00

Overnight study space will be open from Tuesday 22nd April. 

To support you with exam revision and assessment study there will be overnight study spaces available in our C Block rooms from Tuesday 22nd April to Thursday 29th May 2025.

Scheduled times for C Block study spaces will be from Midnight until 08:00. This will be from Monday to Thursday only!

Where can you find the C Block study spaces? 

Entry is via the side, adjacent to the car park barriers. To access these rooms, you must be Universities at Medway Students only and you will need to present your valid Canterbury Christ Church University, Greenwich, or Kent student ID card at entry.

Please be aware that failure to produce a valid ID will result in no entry. Unfortunately, the study spaces are not available for our external access membership holders. 

Which areas will be available to use during this time?

There will be shared group rooms, quiet rooms and silent study rooms available with PCs within this location. If you wish to bring your own device there are spaces for you. You will be able to return books but please be aware there will be no access to the bookshelves, printers, scanners, cafe, microwaves, or vending services during this time. 

A polite reminder 

For the comfort of all our users, hot greasy food is not permitted in these spaces, but cold food and snacks are permitted to keep that study energy going! 

For your safety

These areas will be monitored by CCTV and patrolled by campus security.
