Your Active Easter Break in Kent

Spring is arriving, and the new found sunshine makes perfect weather for your outdoor activites this easter break. We’ve got lots going on over Kent to get you and your family active, so here is a variety of activites to inspire you to move more.

Swimming

CCCU Sports offers swimming deals for CCCU staff and students, from Kingsmead to Medway, so you can find a pool near you to cool down in over easter.

‘Get your £5 swim card at the reception desk at Kingsmead which gives you 5 swims. From your 6th swim onwards you’ll need to pay £1 per session. Times you can visit using this offer are weekdays 7am-9am and 3pm-6pm or weekends 3pm-6pm. Keep an eye on www.activelifeltd.co.uk/swimming-pool for updates to public swim times.’ Find more info about pools near you and prices here

Make your own easter egg hunt!

You can use big or small eggs to hide in the garden, house or recently CCCU Students hid them over campus. Just try not to hide them too well, and always beware of animals who could gobble them in the garden (chocolate is poisonous to dogs for example).

Or you could go along to many Easter Egg hunts taking place over Kent.

Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt will run from Good Friday, April 14 to Easter Monday, April 17 while there will be activities throughout April, when families can unleash their inner explorers on egg hunts through muddy woodlands, along nature trails and through spring gardens. See more here

Easter Run and Ramble

Rasie money for charity this easter and burn off some of those chocolate calories. ‘Looking for some Easter Fun this Spring? Canterbury Forest of Blean Rotary Club are hosting their first Easter Run & Ramble this Easter Monday, 17 April at Toddlers Cove, Canterbury, CT2 8BG, England, with fun for all the family in aid of Demelza Hospice and other local charities.’ Get more information here

Whatever you choose to do, be sure to move more, and try not to eat all your chocolate at once!

From all of us at Move More, well done for completing Term 2, and we wish you a Happy Easter Break.
