In our “Meet the Team” blog series we will be introducing everyone from the Careers and Enterprise Team and giving a short background to their roles as well as their best advice for you at this time. Today we are introducing Olivia.
When did you join the team?
I joined the team in February 2019.
What is your role in the team?
As a Student Ambassador I man our drop-in desk at Augustine House and help students to go through their CVs, job applications and really anything else they can think of. I also keep an eye on our inbox and reply to any queries.
What have you been up to keep yourself busy?
I’ve been doing a lot of arts and crafts, I’m moving into a new house in July and I’m knitting a rug as well as embroidering a piece to put up in the hall. I’ve also been spending a lot of time watching Disney Plus, and I’ve got back into Yoga as a way to try and keep fit.
What are your tips for students to keep focused on their career while stuck at home?
Use the time to make sure your CV is up to date, we have loads of useful resources on our website. The easiest way to make a start is to use our CV360 tool which performs 58 individual checks to tell you exactly where changes need to be made.
