The CSE accreditation is one of the ways we are able to show our dedication to offering effective, meaningful, adaptable, compassionate and inclusive services. It also evidences our work to ensure continuous improvement to consistently meet the changing needs of students, staff, and our community.
This February, we facilitated our yearly audit which assures we continue to deliver excellence. We were excited to present a range of our services and updates over the last year alongside our wonderful Library and Stressless champions.
As a result, we have increased from 4 to 5 Compliance Plus elements! These represent areas we have exceeded expectations to delivery an excellent service.
Compliance Plus elements celebrated
- Our delivery of accessible services to students working alongside Library and Stressless champions, specifically highlighting the positive impact on Stressless to student wellbeing and building connections.
- Using a wellbeing-first approach with staff, as well as promoting a range of opportunities for continuous development, and enhancing staff attitude and professionalism.
- Our excellent working relationship with teams across the university, including the CCSU to ensure a joined-up approach and a library service that represents all our students and staff.
- Delivering excellence in our student communications and guidance for students, especially the role of the Learning Skills Team in supporting academic integrity and facility skills growth for students in AI.
- The importance and impact of our feedback mechanism, which inform our work towards continuous improvement and providing excellent service delivery.
The audit also noted achievements in the changes to Augustine House zones, including the improvements to signage and use of space, as well as our enquiry management processes, the Learning Skills Hub offer, and our work with the community.
What this means for your student experience
The accreditation and audit present our commitment to:
- Delivering quality services: we aim to offer inclusive, sustainable, collaborative service that aligns to our CCCU values.
- Your feedback: we will continue to hear your student voice through maintaining our feedback forms and facilitating feedback events throughout the year.
- Communicating with you: we review our webpages, blog and social media pages often to ensure we are providing accurate and accessible information, as well as timely updates.
- Creating a culture of continuous improvement: with your feedback and insights, we will continue to model our dedication for excellence, as well as manage expectations of our spaces and services.
Your student voice is important!
Throughout the year there are opportunities for you to have your say about a variety of topics, in a variety of ways.
Each year, your feedback informs hundreds of decisions made across the University. This isn’t just about learning and teaching, but everything to do with your student life – from in-person support, to your digital and physical environment, and the opportunities available to you beyond your studies.
So make sure you make your voice heard! If you are final year undergraduate please fill out the National Student Survey (NSS). If you are a Postgraduate student the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) and Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) are currently open.
