Our library team will still be here to support you over the Easter weekend, but there are some changes to our Libraries’ opening times and borrowing arrangements over the Easter weekend.
Borrowing and Loans
You won’t be required to return any items you currently have borrowed over the Easter weekend. Any items that you have on loan that would be due between Friday 3 April and Monday 6 April will be automatically extended to Tuesday 7 April.

Access Arrangements
To access the building during the Easter Weekend, students and staff will require their University ID card.
For Paid, SCONUL, ex-staff, and alumni members, your library card should always be on you when using library services. At the weekend, please ring the doorbell for access and present your card.
Supporting you from the Library or at Home
The Library Point will be open 11:00-16:00 on Friday 3rd and Monday 6th of April, and 10:00-16:00 on Saturday 4th of April.

Salomons Institute Library, Tunbridge Wells
Salomons Library will be closed Friday 3rd of April to Monday 6th of April, and will reopen Tuesday 7th of April at 8am.

Taking a Break during your Studies
It’s important to support your wellbeing and take breaks whilst you’re studying. During the Easter period, the Stressless area on the second floor of Augustine House will be available, with an array of board games, craft activities, puzzles, and more to choose from, along with a ‘book swap’ cabinet to discover future reads and share your own. LibrarySearch offers a range of digital resources to support your research whilst you’re at home, as well providing access to resources such as the BFI Player and Libby for your relaxation.
BFI Player
The British Film Institute (BFI) Player is a film streaming service that offers a wide array of critically acclaimed movies. From world cinema to classic, cult, and independent films, you can access them all through LibrarySearch, making it easy to relax after a day of studying.
To access the BFI player, go to LibrarySearch, click ‘Find Databases A-Z’ on the left side of the page, and go to ‘B’ for BFI Player. To register, click on the ‘Register Here’ link and use your university email when signing up.
Libby E-Books, Audiobooks, and Magazines
Libby is your free digital library app, offering an array of e-books, audiobooks, and magazines to borrow, read, and wind down with, all from the comfort of your computer or phone.
To access Libby, go to LibrarySearch, click ‘Find Databases A-Z’ on the left side of the page, and go to ‘L’ for Libby.
