We are delighted to announce that from Monday 3 March until Friday 23 May, Augustine House will be open 24/7 to help support students and staff in the lead-up to and during the assessment period. 24/7 access won’t be available over the Easter Weekend, 18 – 21 April and Augustine House will be closed on Easter Sunday, 20 April. The full Easter arrangements are as follows:

Augustine House will remain open 24/7 for the Early May Bank Holiday on 5 May.
Given the pressure on University learning spaces, we cannot give access to visitors during this revision and assessment period. Members of the SCONUL Access Scheme and other paid members may use the Library during this time for set hours.

Students, staff and alumni
Out of standard opening hours, the library will operate on a self-service basis. A University ID card will be required to access the building after 6pm on weekdays and during the weekends. If you have lost your University ID card you should contact the i-zone. Alumni members will need to ring the doorbell to access the building during evenings and weekends. Be prepared to present your card to security when entering the building.
While we appreciate everyone learns in different ways, we ask everyone to be respectful of other library users during this time and follow our regulations and terms of service. Please ensure you are studying in an appropriate zone for the work you’re carrying out.
Stressless
To help you relax and take much-needed breaks whilst you’re studying, the Stressless Zone is available on the second floor of Augustine House. You’ll discover a range of games, puzzles and crafts to help you unwind. We have four Stressless events planned during the 24/7 period. Our upcoming events are:
- Tuesday 4 March, Eco Hope (13:00 – 17:00 – Second floor of Augustine House)
- Thursday 13 March, University Mental Health Day, (13:00 – 17:00 – Second floor of Augustine House)
- Tuesday 1 April (13:00 – 17:00 – Second floor of Augustine House)

Your Digital Library
Cannot make it to Augustine House? Don’t forget your digital library. As well as the traditional academic books and journals we have even more resources available online including e-books, free access to streaming services like Box of Broadcasts, BFI Player and Kanopy. All the full-text journal articles you find using LibrarySearch are available to read online when you’re off-campus.
Visitors
Given the pressure on University learning spaces, we cannot give access to visitors during the revision and assessment periods, this includes access to Augustine House Monday 3 March – Friday 23 May.

SCONUL Access, retired staff and paid memberships
Members of the SCONUL Access Scheme, retired staff and paying members may use the Library during the 24/7 period but will only have access to the building between 9:00 – 18:00 on weekdays and 9:00 – 17:00 at weekends.
