Staff Football

In April, a new 11-a-side football league will run every Wednesday evening for staff. Held at the University of Kent’s 3GX pitch on Parkwood Road, staff of all ages and abilities are invited to take part.

For those that haven’t played before, the competition will see two teams, play against each other for 4 games in a simple Reds vs Blues format. The teams are divided evenly to ensure a good competition, and all games are played in a good spirit, providing a great social environment for staff from across the institution to get to know one another.

All 4 games cost just £20, which will need to be paid online when booking your space. Booking promptly is recommended as spaces are limited and tend to fill up very quickly.

Staff Golf

Now that spring is finally here, it’s time to turn our attention to the first staff golf event of the year, the Annual Staff Golf Day. This event will be held at Broome Park on Thursday 29^th March, with the first tee time at 11.30am.

Bacon rolls and coffee will be served from 10.30am, and the price per player will be £32 (paid in cash on the day).

There will be prizes, some friendly competition, some good, golf, some bad golf and some downright ugly golf… but we’ll have a good time! As always, this is a great opportunity to catch up with colleagues from across the University with whom you don’t always get the chance to meet.
