What an amazing night! Celebrating the GradForce graduates achieving their Get Hired! completion certificates.
To celebrate, we had an Awards evening on 27th May, where the students were treated to a 3 course meal, professional headshots to boost their online profiles and received their certificates.
I often hear employers say they want graduates who are keen to learn, take initiative with their own personal and professional development so they can hit the ground running – I can’t think of a better example than students who complete the programme in their own extracurricular time on top of their academic obligations and other responsibilities they may have.
As a widening participation university, GradForce set out to equal the playing field for all our students, despite their own barriers and challenges and I could not be prouder of all the GradForce students that have successfully completed their GradForce Get Hired! Programme.
The journey so far has included self-discovery through tools such as Belbin, the Growth Mindset, GRIT – an intensive personal development and coaching programme, navigating the recruitment process and professionalism in the workplace. They have completed the programme, but their journey doesn’t end there!
Next we’ll be supporting them through their applications and sourcing ringfenced GradForce jobs to kickstart their graduate careers. The dedicated team will be on hand to provide tailored careers advice, match them with mentors and be their all-round cheerleaders.
Supporting our students to achieve is not just a job, it’s from the heart!
