CCCU News from The CORE – End of Lent Term Updates

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

For most, today marks the end of the Lent term. And what a term it’s been! We’ve had events and workshops throughout, offering you the support and advice you need for wherever you go.

There have been Life After Uni workshops running and we saw our second annual Life After Uni event take place this Wednesday. If you were unable to provide feedback on the event but would like to, all you need to do is send an email to careers.info@canterbury.ac.uk.

But the fun doesn’t stop with the end of Term 2. We will be working hard to make sure you have access to all of the resources you need to further your experience and graduate job prospects in the Trinity term (Term 3), which for most of you recommences on Tuesday 18th April.

We are still open over the Easter holidays, so if you have any careers related queries or want to discuss your Life After Uni, you can still visit the drop-in desk in Augustine House, Monday-Friday 1-5 to speak to someone. Alternatively you can email careers@canterbury.ac.uk.

You can also book an appointment via The CORE > Events and Appointments

The Life After Uni Graduate Guide holds a load of information, particularly useful for final year students leaving the university. It aims to answer FAQs on the most relevant topics for graduates:

The CORE – Continue to access Career Development’s resources

Your graduation – What you need to know and what to expect

Becoming an alumni – The benefits of being a graduate of CCCU

Career Planning – Get started/gain more ideas for your career plan

Finances – Managing your student loan repayments

Leaving student accommodation – Your moving out checklist

Jobs and opportunities – Get that graduate job

Further Study – WHat you can do

DLHE Survey

And that’s it! A short but sweet summary of the term as it’s been. Keep a look out for more updates and info on things happening next term but for now. Here’s a bit of careers advice for you to work on in the Easter holidays.
