The Centre for European Studies (CEFEUS) at Canterbury Christ Church University has today released a briefing on the risks associated with British withdrawal from the European Union.
The report summarises the findings of a high-level workshop held at Canterbury Christ Church University on 20 May 2016, convened by the Centre and attended by representatives from different sectors of the local community, including commerce, education, policing, healthcare, transport and local government.
The briefing aims to inform citizens in the run-up to the referendum the different effects their choice is likely to have on the region. This is especially important for Kent and Medway, given the intensity of the region’s commercial and political links to the continent and its physical proximity to the French border.
