On 23 October, students in Dr Mark Bennister’s final year British politics class took part in a role play simulating a House if Commons select committee inquiry session investigating the swine flue epidemic. The session was facilitated by Naomi Saint (pictured above) from the Parliamentary Outreach team. Dr Bennister works closely with Outreach on a range of teaching and research projects. Students played the roles of MPs and witnesses and the session eloped the effectiveness of such witness sessions. A group of the class will be submitting evidence to the Political and Constitutional Reform Select Committee Inquiry into a codified constitution and took the chance to be interrogated by Naomi.
