PlaySport Virtual Running Challenge

Couch to 5KAs part of the PlaySport programme, we are launching a series of ‘virtual’ running challenges for CCCU staff and students.

The first challenge has just got underway (running from 1st June – 30th June) and the aim is to complete as many runs as you can within the month. At the end of the June challenge, we will select 5 participants at random to receive a Christ Church Sport t-shirt.  To be eligible, you must have completed at least 4 runs in the month and you must be a current CCCU student or staff member.

As the June leader board will be ordered by the number of runs you have done, rather than distance or speed, you don’t have to be Mo Farah to top the charts, you just need to get out there and run! All you need to remember is that each run must last at least 20 minutes to count towards your total. Best of all, as it is a virtual challenge, you can run whenever and wherever is convenient for you.

If you would like to join the June challenge, please click the following link: http://www.endomondo.com/challenges/28742696

The challenges are run through Endomondo, which is a free fitness tracking website/app. When you click on the above link, you will need to login (or sign up if you haven’t used Endomondo before), then return to the challenge page and click ‘join’. You can then record any runs that you do either via GPS by downloading the Endomondo app to your phone (again, it’s free) or you can add runs manually through the Endomondo website.

If you have any questions about the challenge, please feel free to get in touch.

Happy running everyone!
