This week I’ve tried a different Move More tip – I’ve been setting a reminder to move hourly. Whether it’s having a stretch, going for a walk around the building, keeping the bosu wobble board next to my desk or the occasional quick game of table tennis – this tip has been really good fun – and has earned me my fair share of strange looks!
“Don’t worry chaps! I’m just Moving More!”
This tip has been a fun, creative part of my day, and it’s been really easy to get other colleagues involved and engaged with this one. Not only is it good to keep active, I am amazed just how much it helps with productivity! Instead of slowly getting more tired throughout the day, I feel energised, and can return to my desk renewed after each bout of physical activity!
I think I’ve also invented a new version of table tennis that uses the ceilings and walls. Hand/eye co-ordination has never been a strong point.
My next Move More post will be the week after next – and I’m going to try standing up for every phone call!
