Boxing Day Activites, get moving!

Boxing Day has become a day of recreactional activities, including hourse racing, runs, walks and even swimming the English Channel. (Bit nippy!)

So what are you planning for boxing day? After a long christmas day endulging in food and drink, boxing day is the chance to get active and outdoors. Intead of watching tele repeats all day, you could spend it with your friends and family doing fun activites.

For example, if you are in Kent over christmas, there’s ice skating, a festive family fun trail in Chartwell, a frosted fairground in Dreamland, or a winter trail and ‘A tale of Christmas’ at Leeds Castle. You can find information and more activites here: http://www.kentlive.news/things-to-do-in-kent-on-boxing-day/story-29985962-detail/story.html

The beany museum in canterbury has a town walk every second and fourth friday of the month, so you can drop in on Friday the 23rd. Find more information here http://canterburymuseums.co.uk/events/canterbury-town-walk-2/

Find activites in your area by simply searching online or in your local newspaper. If you don’t fancy travelling, you can always have a family walk with the dogs in your local park. One of my favourite memories was exploring The Forest of Dean on New Years Day with my parents, and scoffing sausage rolls in the car at the end of the day.

Make your christmas an active christmas this year, and create memories to last a lifetime.

Merry Christmas from all of us here at Move More, and a Happy New Year!
