The thrust of the University Academic Integrity Policy is to educate students to avoid plagiarism. Early, formative interventions using Turnitin will help students to develop good writing habits.
Although the University provides guidance for students to interpret their Similarity Reports (see the TEL Knowledge Base for Students), the Academic Integrity Policy requires you to help students early on during their programme to understand the meaning of Similarity Reports and how to avoid plagiarism.
