Collaborate

Blackboard Collaborate is a real-time video conferencing tool that lets you add files, share applications, and use a virtual whiteboard to interact. Collaborate with the Ultra experience opens right in your browser, so you don’t have to install any software to join a session.

Use it for online classrooms, 1 to 1 tutorials, group work and more! Sessions are created and led by Moderators (often staff) and may contain slides, interactive tools, and sharing of audio/video which Attendees (often students, but any audience) can then follow along live. Refer to the sections below for ‘how-to’ guides and further useful documentation.

Note: regarding safety and security with online platforms, staff are asked to please read the University’s Data Protection and Off-Campus Learning and Video Conferencing and Communication Platforms StaffNet notices.

The CCCU Digital Code of Conduct (approved at Academic Board December 2020) aims to ensure that participants in any online event organised by the University, such as webinar, video conference, online chat, or discussion forum benefit from the activity and are not subject to abuse or discrimination in the digital environment.
