Good News #3: November 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>If you don\u2019t already know, here\u2019s the goal: to prove that planet Earth isn\u2019t all that bad in 500 words or less.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Big goal, potentially hard to achieve (although I could possibly do it in 3 words: <em>Twitter user <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/dog_rates\"><em>@weratedogs<\/em><\/a>), but we\u2019re going to give it a shot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are some reasons that humanity is perhaps not entirely terrible and being alive on this planet, in fact, could actually be pretty okay despite, you know, <em>everything <\/em>\u2013 but specifically limited to things that happened during the month of November 2022:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.positive.news\/society\/smart-plastic-alternatives\/\">This article<\/a> about start ups that are creating alternatives to oil-based plastics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A Scottish community has successfully secured <a href=\"https:\/\/www.positive.news\/society\/the-town-that-pulled-off-britains-most-ambitious-rewilding-project\/\">10,000 acres of land<\/a> for Britain\u2019s biggest rewilding project and nature reserved<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Brazil\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazonfund.gov.br\/en\/home\/\">Amazon Fund<\/a> has been revived by the country\u2019s supreme court, with the goal of eliminating deforestation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carbon Brief has discovered that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carbonbrief.org\/analysis-eus-co2-emissions-fall-5-in-three-months-after-post-covid-surge\/\">EU emissions have dropped 5% in 3 months<\/a> after the pandemic\u2019s 16-month year<\/em>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Researchers develop <a href=\"https:\/\/www.happy-headlines.com\/blog-posts\/researchers-develop-completely-plastic-free-takeaway-packaging\">plastic-free takeaway packaging<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.happy-headlines.com\/blog-posts\/chile-is-creating-a-national-park-in-the-driest-desert\">Chile is creating a national park<\/a> in their driest desert<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>California has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.happy-headlines.com\/blog-posts\/california-bans-natural-gas-heaters-and-furnaces-to-lower-their-carbon-emissions\">banned natural gas
