Whether you’re struggling to adapt to the ‘new normal’ of living and studying with Covid-19, have any worries, or just want a chat, come along to the new Stress & Anxiety Virtual Peer Support Sessions – our Student Support & Chaplaincy team are here to support you.
This year everything looks very different- and we’re aware that starting university for the first time or being a returning student may raise some anxiety. So having the opportunity to connect with other students could be really beneficial.
The sessions will be held virtually on Wednesdays 1-2pm. If you’re interested, just email Natasha (quoting Stress and Anxiety Virtual Peer Support Session as the subject) at email@example.com … She can provide further information and explain how to access the sessions.
Student Support virtual drop-ins
Don’t forget Student Support are also running virtual drop-ins, from Monday- Friday, between 12 noon and 1pm, via Blackboard.
Student Wellbeing Advisers, along with representatives from the Disability and Mental Wellbeing Teams, will be available to give confidential advice, answer quick questions or signpost you to further support.
And remember if you need support there is also 24 hour online help via Togetherall. It’s a safe and anonymous space you can visit if you’re feeling down, struggling to cope or just want to talk to people who understand what you’re going through. Whether you want to speak to peers or a counsellor, there will be someone there every minute of every day.
Signing up is easy – go to : www.togetherall.com and use your university email address to join. The email address is only used to confirm you have free access and then you pick an anonymous username, so everything remains completely confidential.
