Our New Graduate College for Postgraduate Students
Our postgraduate students are very important to us, and we have been listening to your feedback, including improving the physical spaces you use.
From September 2019, the University will launch a new Graduate College, which will enhance the student experience for all postgraduate students.
A key part of the new Graduate College is the creation of new postgraduate student spaces in Erasmus:
- 3 new student study hotdesk areas, which will provide 50% more hotdesk space than the current hotdesk area
- Changing Eg18, the current hotdesk area, into a creative graduate space with soft seating and opportunities for more interaction, groupwork, and informal delivery.
The contractors are aiming to start the work on Monday 15 July. If you have any belongings in Eg18, can we ask that you please move these this week. During the building work you will be able to use Laud Lg45, which is opposite the IT helpdesk, near Touchdown.
If you want to know more about the new spaces Ursula Harris, from Estates, will be in Eg18 on Monday 8 July 3 to 4pm and Tuesday 9 July 10 to 11am to answer questions. For any queries regarding your studies please contact your Supervisor or your Programme Team.
We apologise for the short notice, but do hope you will enjoy the new spaces in September. We will keep you updated on progress and the exact dates the new spaces will be available.
