When you start at University it is essential that you go through a process called Registration as a final step to becoming a Christ Church Student.

Registering enables you to start your course, receive your Student Smartcard, have access to all our services and release your Student Loan or Bursary (if you are entitled to one).

A series of registration events are taking place for late applicants and students who may have been unable to attend a previous event as follows:

What to bring to registration?

Make sure you have completed your pre-registration tasks on your Student Portal  – you need to have uploaded your photo via the ‘Get your Smartcard’ tile and confirmed your personal details and payment information via the ‘Confirm Your Details’ tile.

In order to fully register at the University, you must bring identification and original qualifications. For identification you need to bring a passport.  If you do not have a passport you need a birth certificate and a form of photo ID, such as a driving licence – a provisional licence is acceptable.

Some programmes will also require DBS Checks (even if you have already had one during previous study or job) and Occupational Health Clearance.

Please refer to the registration event section of  your Welcome Schedule for specific ‘what to bring to registration’ guidance for your programme.

Please note: If you miss your registration event you will not be registered as a Christ Church student. This will pose difficulties for releasing any student loan, bursary or other student-related entitlement.

If you have any further questions surrounding your registration, please contact the i-zone by emailing i-zone@canterbury.ac.uk or calling 01227 922222.
