Face covering exemption cards.

Our current policy for all staff, students and visitors is that face coverings should be worn by everyone inside University buildings, including in offices, labs and teaching spaces for everyone’s health and safety.

Some staff, students and visitors might be exempt from wearing a face covering for health, age, or equality reasons, as detailed in government guidance

If you fall under one or more of these categories and wish to indicate that you are exempt, face covering exemption cards for lanyards are now available from Anselm security lodge and Medway and Salomons receptions. Please note, displaying an exemption card is a personal choice and not necessary in law.

As a University, we also recognise the Hidden Disability sunflower lanyard. Wearing the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower discreetly indicates to people around you that you may not be able to wear a face covering or need additional support. We hope to have a supply to share soon.

If you have any health concerns connected to Covid-19 please contact our Student Wellbeing Advisers on studentwellbeing@canterbury.ac.uk who will be happy to support you.
