At the end of April, our third year students enjoyed a short and busy trip to Brussels with their law colleagues. Here is a rundown of the itinerary.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

After an incredibly early start (Tuesday 2.30am departure!) they arrived in Brussels before lunch and enjoyed a walking tour of Brussels with John Maas followed by a visit to the European Parliament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following day began with a visit to NATO headquarters and meetings with Ross McKenzie (Unmanned Aircraft Systems Portfolio Lead) and Justin Wismer, who completed a NATO internship before getting a contract working with Ross.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was followed by a visit to the British Mission in Brussles and meetings with Grace Barningham, Campaign Manager, Tom Broadbent, Transport and Space Attache and Rosalind Kenny, Second Secretary for Research and Innovation<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was some downtime in the evenings when students were free to explore the delights of Brussels cuisine and nightlife before a more civilised departure on Thursday, allowing students to get home and rest that afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
