In late May 2014, Senior Lecturer in Politics/IR, Dr Amelia Hadfield traveled to Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, at the invitation of the Royal Commonwealth Society of Canada to give the keynote speech at its Annual General Meeting.
In May 2014, Senior Lecturer in Politics/IR, Dr Amelia Hadfield undertook another round of external teaching on Foreign Policy Analysis on behalf of the College of Europe and the European Union in the framework of the project ‘Support to capacity and institution building of the Diplomatic Academy in Armenia’.
On Thursday 12 June, 2014, Canterbury Christ Church hosted the first inaugural “Energy and Governance” Workshop, the first of many to come, organised by Dr. Amelia Hadfield on the basis of her decades worth of experience in the UK and the EU regarding Energy and Governance.
A workshop on the link between EU federalism and Euroscepticism was organised by Dr. John FitzGibbon and Dr. Soeren Keil and held on 10th of June at the North Holmes Road campus.
This year, to mark Europe Day, the European Parliament organised the European Youth Event (EYE) in Strasbourg.
