Burton Gallery, Carey Building, Canterbury Christ Church University, Northwood Road, Broadstairs, Kent, CT10 2WA

8 October 2015 – 7 February 2016

Gleaned is an exhibition of Canterbury Christ Church University’s undergraduate photographic and Digital Design work and offers insight into creative practice across three years of study. Each of the images in Gleaned were chosen from the 2015 School of Media, Art and Design’s summer exhibitions and were selected as examples of innovative and engaging visual practice.

The exhibiting photographers and designers have made use of a variety of techniques and methods, including analogue, digital, instant photography and bookmaking. These eclectic processes of production are matched by varied aesthetics and genre – demonstrating the Broadstairs Media, Art and Design Programme’s resistance to a ‘house-style’ and a continued emphasis on individual authorship and the development of the photographer’s own visual ‘voice’.
