We&#8217;re still here to support you"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Congratulations to all the students who are graduating this week. It\u2019s a great feeling knowing all the hard work has paid off. Whatever your plans are going forward, we are still here to support you in any further learning you might want to undertake after graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is available for alumni members of the library?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are no membership fees or costs to become an alumni member. If you find it valuable and you are renewing annually, please consider a donation to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canterbury.ac.uk\/about-us\/futures\/futures-fund\" title=\"\"><strong>Futures Fund<\/strong><\/a> instead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We offer our alumni members:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Access to the library and its print collections. At Augustine House and Salomons library, alumni can use the library any time the building is open.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A borrowing allowance of:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>eight items from the 4-week loan collection,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>two items from the 7-day loan collection,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>eight items from the curriculum resources collection. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The ability to request items from another CCCU Library<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support on the use of the library, including finding books and using our library catalogue <strong>(<a href=\"http:\/\/libsearch.canterbury.ac.uk\/\">LibrarySearch<\/a><\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/students.canterbury.ac.uk\/study\/it-services\/connect-to-wi-fi\" title=\"\"><strong>Guest Wi-Fi<\/strong><\/a>. If you have your own laptop, you can also use a docking station to connect it to a monitor, mouse and keyboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canterbury.ac.uk\/library-services\/campus-libraries\/visitor-pc-and-wi-fi\" title=\"\"><strong>Use of a Visitor PC<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;with limited access to electronic resources. Limited printing and photocopying are available from one of the Visitor PCs. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canterbury.ac.uk\/learning-skills-hub\">Learning Skills Hub<\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong>is open access, so you can continue to use it&nbsp;for your academic, personal and professional development. Take a look at our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canterbury.ac.uk\/learning-skills-hub\/life-after-university\" title=\"life after university\"><strong>life after university<\/strong><\/a> modules.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A RefWorks alumni account. You can continue to access your RefWorks account after you graduate even if you don&#8217;t join the library as an alumnus. But you\u2019ll need to update your account before you leave the University. Instructions are available on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com\/RefWorks\/Knowledge_Articles\/Alumni\"><strong>RefWorks webpages<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What&#8217;s not included?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We do not offer a computing or email account.&nbsp;Guest Wi-Fi<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>is available to use within the building or you can use a Visitor PC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to licensing restrictions,&nbsp;we cannot offer access to most online resources. A limited number of online resources are available through a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canterbury.ac.uk\/library-services\/campus-libraries\/visitor-pc-and-wi-fi\"><strong>Visitor PC<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>That sounds great\u2026 How do I join?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Go and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canterbury.ac.uk\/library-services\/public-memberships-and-visitors\/memberships-and-visitors\" title=\"\"><strong>visit our website<\/strong><\/a> and complete the membership form. Once we have received your application, we will set up your account within five working days. We will contact you when your new library card is ready to collect. You will need to bring <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canterbury.ac.uk\/library-services\/public-memberships-and-visitors\/accepted-proofs-of-identity-and-address\" title=\"\"><strong>proof of identity and proof of address<\/strong><\/a> when you come to collect your card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s all there is to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Your relationship with the Library doesn\u2019t have to stop at Graduation.
