Help us design our new Family Study Room"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Augustine House Library is currently undergoing exciting enhancements to improve your library experience, based on <em>your <\/em>feedback. In<strong> <\/strong>AHg.49, found behind the Library Point on the ground floor, we are developing a Family Study Room to support parent students. Its purpose is to provide a safe, self-contained environment to study alongside your children. We aim to offer a dedicated study space for adults, alongside a small range of resources such as toys and children&#8217;s books to enrich your children&#8217;s experience whilst they are in the library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are a student with children, we would really love to hear from you, so please take a moment to fill out our quick form, either by scanning the QR code below or clicking <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/Pages\/ResponsePage.aspx?id=2rIgA90iq02MIW5kS6FPE5xbW3sInx1Licw7WPNyJqRUMENPNEwwOFdHSk0xNDdEQTc0QUVOTjE2RyQlQCN0PWcu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">here<\/a><\/strong>. The room also features engaging, educational posters, such as the times table, a world map, and a map of the solar system. For adults, it includes a desk, power sockets, and a nursing chair to provide a discrete, comfortable space for breastfeeding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As commented by a parent student from the University of Bradford: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c[The Family Study Room is] really, really helpful. It engages the kids. It takes a lot of stress away from me. I used to think \u2018How do I cope with my studies and my child?\u2019 I was worried before I used to come to this room. It has released my stress dramatically\u2026 \u202fI love how cheerful the room is. It provides a singular adult study desk and computer, and for children, offers two activity tables, bean bags, a play den, and a wide variety of books and toys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Like the University of York, the University of Surrey\u2019s Family Study Room is an exclusive, bookable space, limited to one family at a time for up to four hours per booking.
