Halloween is creeping around the corner, and with that comes all the iconic yearly celebrations – carving pumpkins, extravagant costumes, and of course, the library’s letter-writing event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Halloween is the season of embracing creativity. So, as the evenings darken, the cauldrons bubble, and the bats swoop in, it\u2019s time to get those creative thoughts flowing and write a spooky letter to the Library. Whether your feedback is positive or less so, a trick or a treat, we would really love to hear about your experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will be held on the ground floor of Augustine House Library on Friday, the 31st of October. You can drop by the letter-writing station anytime between 11am – 3pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don’t miss out on the sweet treats provided – It’s Halloween after all!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You are welcome to be as detailed or brief in your feedback as you would like. Whether your letter touches on the library services, facilities, or resources, all feedback is important to us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Think about how you would like your library to be improved. Don’t feel afraid to be honest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can’t make it? Too busy trick or treating? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We will have a Post-it note board on display during the following week. It will be opposite the library point desk and ready to receive your quick feedback thoughts. Alternatively, leave us a comment on our <\/a>feedback form.<\/a> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sensory room<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A newer addition to the library is the sensory room, located on the ground floor, in the collaborative zone AHg.03a. It’s tucked away behind the returns machine and has comfy seating, beanbags, a humidifier, and some fun projector lights so you can adjust the set-up to your liking!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regular breaks during studying are important for well-being and maintaining concentration, so this immersive sensory space offers the opportunity to recharge and de-stress. Otherwise, you can simply enjoy the calm setting to focus on work, away from the bustle of other library users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The room was designed with neurodivergent students in mind, but is absolutely welcome to all library users as a secluded spot to de-stress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
