In an ideal location just minutes from Canterbury City Centre and just ten minutes&#8217; walk from North Holmes Road. The library is over four floors, offering PCs, iborrows, large\u00a0collection of books, and much more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:43px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Study Spaces<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Collaborative zones<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The collaborative zones are flexible spaces where you can work in groups or work independently if you prefer activity around you as opposed to silence. Group study rooms offer a PC, large screen and whiteboard. Silent zones are available on the second and third floors. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Silent zones allow you to:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>work independently free from noise and distractions&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>keep your mobile phone on silent, if you do have a call please take the call to the atrium area<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>use headphones but please make sure other can\u2019t hear what you\u2019re listening to<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have a bite to eat, you can have a drink or eat cold food but please make sure any hot foot is taken into the atrium area<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>you can let the library team know if you\u2019re being disturbed by any noise by reporting issues through an online form via the website<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:52px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Social study spaces (atrium on floors one, two and three)<\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.canterbury.ac.uk\/library\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/638\/2025\/07\/Atrium2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.canterbury.ac.uk\/library\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/638\/2025\/07\/Atrium2-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-74326\" style=\"width:341px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.canterbury.ac.uk\/library\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/638\/2025\/07\/Atrium2-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.canterbury.ac.uk\/library\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/638\/2025\/07\/Atrium2-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/blogs.canterbury.ac.uk\/library\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/638\/2025\/07\/Atrium2.jpg 1037w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The atrium spaces are perfect if you like to socialise whilst you study or want to take a well-earned break. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>work together and socialise<strong>,&nbsp;<\/strong>feel free to chat and relax<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>work independently and enjoy activity around you<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>because not everyone works best in silence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>take a break, make use of the StressLess resources on the second-floor atrium and take a break with a craft activity, puzzle, board game, Lego and more. The second-floor terrace area is perfect for soaking up some rays of sunshine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>stay connected.<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>You can use this area for video chat, online meetings, lectures or catching up with friends and family<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>take phone calls.<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>You can leave your phone&#8217;s ringer on when you\u2019re in the atrium, perfect if you&#8217;re expecting an important call<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>enjoy a meal. However hard you&#8217;re studying, it&#8217;s important to stop for food. Have a hot or cold meal and take time to refuel. You can use the caf\u00e9 on the ground floor or bring food into the building. There\u2019s a microwave which is free for you to use located by the caf\u00e9 on ground floor, great for heating some food.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:56px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sensory study room<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The sensory room is a space for students to reset between studying or social sessions. The space has been designed with neurodiverse people in mind with adjustable lighting, comfortable seating and a range of ways to control your sensory experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Sensory Room in Augustine House\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/0NuDiGsKYJU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019ll find the sensory room on the ground floor of Augustine House in room AHg.03a. alternative seating located around the library on all floors, which make a great place to study or to take a well earnt break from your studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns
