As we look forward to welcoming more students back to our libraries, we’d like to update you on changes to our opening hours starting the week commencing 13 September.

Augustine House (Canterbury)

From the 13 September Augustine House will return to the same opening hours as it did before the pandemic. There is no longer a requirement to book to use Augustine House library. The building and library point will be open as follows:

Monday – Friday 
Access to Augustine House – 07:30 – 01:00 
Library Point, email, phone and live chat – 09:00 – 20:00

Saturday – Sunday 
Access to Augustine House – 08:00 – 01:00
Library Point, email, phone and live chat – 11:00 – 17:00

If you’re visiting the library outside the staffed hours of the library point you will need your smartcard to access the building. During these times you can make use of the self-service machines to borrow and return books.

i-zone and IT support
i-zone and IT support are available from the staffed desks in Augustine House, as well as phone, e-mail and live chat. Visit the i-zone opening hours page to check when both services are available and how to get in touch.

Atrium Café
The Atrium Café will be opening 8.00-17.00 and offer breakfast, hot lunches, salad bar, snacks and drinks. A reminder the hot food should only be consumed in the café itself and not in other areas of the library.

Drill Hall Library (Medway)

From Monday 13 September the Drill Hall Library will be increasing our opening hours for the new term.

Monday – Friday
Access to the library – 8am – Midnight
Library Helpdesk – 10am – 4pm

Saturday – Sunday
Access to the library – 9am – Midnight
Library Helpdesk – 10am – 4pm

Library Reception desk will be available during all opening hours

The Archibald Hay Mess Café
Grab a bite to eat while you study or relax with a hot drink, a range of sandwiches, salads and snacks. The service hours are Monday – Fri: 9am – 5pm. Please note that no food is permitted in the Quiet and Silent Zones of the library, and we ask you to consume all hot food in the café area.

Online support for IT, academic support and general enquiries is also available:
Mon – Sun 9am – 5pm by using the LogMeIn chat service icon on the library PCs.
You can also contact us on DHLhelp@medway.ac.uk and we will respond to your query within 24 working hours.

Salomons Institute for Applied Psychology Library (Tunbridge Wells)

From the 13 September Lucy Fildes House and access to the library will return to the same opening hours as it did before the pandemic. From the beginning of this week, there is no longer a requirement to book to use Salomons library and we will be open Tuesdays again starting the 14th. The building and library point will be open as follows:

Monday
Access to the Library building – 08:00 – 19:30
Library point, email and phone enquiries – 09:00 – 17:00

Tuesday – Friday
Access to the Library building – 08:00 – 20:00
Library point, email and phone enquiries – 09:00 – 17:00

Saturday – Sunday
All services         CLOSED

Remember to bring your smartcard, it is always required to enter Lucy Fildes House.
