24/7 at Augustine House – What does it mean for you?
We are delighted to confirm that from 9 March until 15 May Augustine House will be open 24/7 to help support our students in the lead up to, and during, the assessment period.
Given the pressure on University learning spaces, we cannot give access to visitors during this revision and assessment period. Members of the SCONUL Access Scheme and paid external members may use the Library during this time.
Find out more about what 24/7 means for you below.
Students and Staff
Out of standard opening hours, the library will operate on a self-service basis. A University smartcard will be required to access the building.
During this time, you are being asked to base yourselves on the ground floor in the first instance, particularly on quieter nights. This will help with energy efficiency of the building and support Security and Housekeeping. But don’t worry, you can still access other floors to get books.
For more information on the facilities available during 24/7 please visit the student blog.
Please note that there will be different opening times during the Easter Weekend 10 – 14 April:
- The Library will close at 17:00 on Good Friday 10 April.
- The Library will be open from 9am – 1am on Saturday 11 April
- The Library will be closed on Sunday 12 April
- The Library will reopen at 9am on Monday 13 April and 24/7 will resume.
Given the pressure on University learning spaces, we cannot give access to visitors during the revision and assessment periods, this includes access to Augustine House between 9 March – 15 May.
