24/7 at Augustine House – What does it mean for you?

We are delighted to announce that from 6 March – 26 May, Augustine House will be open 24/7 to help support our students in the lead-up to and during the assessment period. 24/7 access won’t be available Easter Weekend 7 -10  April or on 1 May. The library will be closed on Sunday 9 April.

The library will remain open 24/7 on the Bank holiday for the coronation of King Charles III on 8 May.

Given the pressure on University learning spaces, we cannot give access to visitors during this revision and assessment period. Members of the SCONUL Access Scheme, alumni and other paid members may use the Library during this time for set hours.

Find out more about what 24/7 means for you below.

Students and Staff

Out of standard opening hours, the library will operate on a self-service basis. A University smartcard will be required to access the building after 6pm on weekdays and during the weekends. If you have lost your Smartcard you should contact the i-zone.

While we appreciate everyone learns in different ways, we ask everyone to be respectful of other library users during this time and follow our code of conduct. Please ensure you are studying in an appropriate zone for the work you’re carrying out.

StressLess

To help you relax and take much-needed breaks whilst you’re studying, the StressLess zone is available on the second floor of Augustine House. You’ll discover a range of games, puzzles and crafts to help you unwind. We also have a range of StressLess activities planned including the ever-popular free hot chocolates, biscuit decorating and different crafts. We have a taster day coming up for University Mental Health Day on the 9 March.
