World Bank<\/a> funded-project is an expansion of the previous TEIP undertaken in 2012 and 2015 which\u00a0aimed to enhance the teaching practice of undergraduate degree programmes through staff development and develop training modules to upgrade the teaching competences of practicing teachers.\u00a0 In the new phase of the project, three additional universities involved in teacher education were added.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/blogs.canterbury.ac.uk\/facultyofeducation\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/637\/2018\/09\/aqou-workshop-300x169.jpg\")

TEIP continues to enhance the quality of both pre-service and in-service teacher training through wide-ranging programmes of curriculum renewal and skills development and mentor training to transform the quality and effectiveness of the entire teacher education system in Palestine.<\/p>\n
Tony Mahon, the Faculty Director for International Development said : “We are delighted to be shortlisted for this prestigious award. It is tremendous recognition of the team\u2019s ground-breaking work and its far-reaching impact on reform of teacher education in Palestine.”<\/p>\n
