This year, we focus on promoting gender diversity and inclusivity in engineering, emphasising how women engineers enhance our lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The WISE Hub: Empowering Women in STEM<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Building on the success of the WISE Campaign, our new South East hub is being established to further support regional growth and inclusivity. The SE WISE Hub aims to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Outreach and Engagement<\/strong>: Deliver programs in local schools to change perceptions about engineering, inspire students to pursue STEM subjects, and remove institutional barriers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Networking and Support<\/strong>: Serve as a home for the region\u2019s STEM businesses and workforce, offering networking, connection, and sharing of best practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vision and Mission<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Vision<\/strong>: Achieve equal representation and empowerment of women in science and engineering.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mission<\/strong>: Foster an inclusive environment, advocate for gender equality, and support women&#8217;s career development in STEM disciplines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Objectives<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Increase female representation in STEM through targeted outreach and support programs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote gender diversity and inclusion in leadership roles within STEM sectors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facilitate networking opportunities and mentorship programs for women\u2019s career advancement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create a supportive environment for women in science and engineering, addressing challenges they may face.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Canterbury Christ Church University<\/strong> launched the new hub earlier in the year, bridging the gap between business, industry, and education to inspire women and girls to take up STEM careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Join the Movement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In celebration of INWED, we encourage you to support the WISE Hub and its initiatives.
